Smithsonian American Art Museum
The Smithsonian American Art Museum had an exhibition on video games- Video Games As Art- that is a great first step in the tale of video game- but it was more focused on history and a chronological story- than about the art itself. Great room of emulated games projected large on a wall that you could play. I got hooked on the Secret of Monkey Island and now play it on the iPad. But also a beautiful show. I have to find out more about the process of emulation and technology exhibition decisions. Overall, pretty interesting.
